While there has been much speculation over the years that neither Bella nor Connor talk to Nicole due to their involvement in their famous father’s church, she has insisted this is not the case.

“Motherhood is about the journey,” she told The Sun in 2019. “There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love.”

Bella, on the other hand, is married to her husband, Max Parker, and is living in the UK where Nicole says she feels most at home.

Nicole Kidman’s Biological Children With Keith Urban

After marrying Keith Urban in 2006, Nicole gave birth to their daughter, Sunday Rose in 2008. They had some ups and downs with pregnancy #2 so, they opted to use a surrogate to bring their daughter, Faith, into the world in 2010.

The lovebirds put a lot of thought into their children’s names. Marie Claire reported that Sundays used to be difficult for Nicole after she was estranged from Tom and their adopted children, and that changed so greatly after she settled down with Keith Urban. She admitted, “We went from dreading Sunday to really loving it. It was the day when nobody was going to bother you, you could stay in bed, you could do what you wanted to do. We just thought, ‘What a great name for our baby.'”

In an equally poetic naming experience, Faith Margaret entered the world. In this case, Nicole says her name was chosen because they “never gave up faith that they would have another child together.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have created a very loving life together with their family unit taking precedence over everything else in their lives. They’ve opted to leave the glitz and glam of Hollywood behind and they now reside in Tennessee with their beautiful daughters.

Religious And Political Views

Kidman was brought up in an Irish Catholic family and remains practising. She attended Mary Mackillop Chapel in North Sydney. Following criticism by Catholic leaders regarding her role in The Golden Compass as anti-Catholic, Kidman told Entertainment Weekly that the Catholic Church is part of her “essence”, and that her religious beliefs would prevent her from taking a role in a film she perceived as anti-Catholic. During her divorce from Tom Cruise, she stated that she did not want their children raised as Scientologists. She has since been reluctant to discuss Scientology.

A supporter of women’s rights, Kidman testified before the United States House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs to support the International Violence Against Women Act in 2009. In January 2017, she stated her support for the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Australia. Kidman has also donated to U.S. Democratic party candidates.

No One Really Knows If Tom Cruise Sees Suri

Once you’ve “blown” you get cut out entirely, and that apparently goes for kids, too. Numerous insiders have speculated about how the church’s “disconnection policy” prohibits Tom Cruise from seeing his daughter with Katie Holmes, who is more than likely on the Suppressive Person list. “He hasn’t seen her since she was 7,” one source told InTouch. Rick Ross, founder of The Cult Education Institute and an expert on Scientology, told Hollywood Life that Suri’s dad probably considers her a PTS a Potential Trouble Source.

The last time Tom and his youngest daughter were photographed together was in 2013, the year after Katie rocked the church with her high profile divorce filing. According to former Scientologist and writer Samantha Domingo, this could have been an exercise in damage limitation. She told Us Weekly in July 2019, “Maybe he did it for a photo op, to make it seem like he was connected so he wouldn’t be criticized.” Another source told the tab that Tom is actually allowed to see Suri for a set number of days per month, but he “chooses not to because she is not a Scientologist.” Meanwhile, yet another tab claimed around the same time that Tom and Suri have secretly connected via a third party for years, and that she was possibly planning a covert in-person visit. What does it all mean? Apparently, figuring out Tom’s relationship with Suri is … an impossible mission.

Devastating Loss Of Her First Child

However, she suffered an ectopic pregnancy and lost her first child. This painful and traumatic experience drove Kidman and Cruise to adopt two children: daughter, Isabella Jane , and son, Connor Anthony .

Cruise is famously a devout member of the Church of Scientology, and both Bella and Connor were adopted through the church, as they were born to parents who couldnt take care of them.

In 2001, Kidman had miscarried yet again. Cruise filed for divorce that same year, citing irreconcilable differences. The children stayed with their father and the church, reportedly resulting in a strained relationship with their adoptive mother.

When Kidmans father died, her adopted daughter wasnt physically present to provide support. And Kidman, in turn, did not attend Bellas wedding to IT consultant Max Parker in 2015 although it seems like her father and brother werent guests at the intimate ceremony, either.

Fans were also quick to notice that in Kidmans 2018 Golden Globes acceptance speech, she only thanked her biological daughters with her second husband, Keith Urban. In fact, in all of her previous speeches, Kidman never acknowledged her adopted children.

Lets Rewind To Their Adoption And Their Complicated Relationship With Their Parents

Kidman and Cruise got married in 1990, and according to some sources, Kidman tried her hardest to integrate herself into Cruise’s belief system, the Church of Scientology. The pair decided to adopt Isabella, born in 1992, and Connor, born in 1995, after failed attempts at getting pregnant.

Kidman reportedly spent two years studying Scientology with Cruise but ultimately she left and sources say that she was deemed a dangerous person to the Church. The Church denies the claims that they bugged their house and secretly tried to split them up through the children, but Cruise and Kidman eventually did split in 2001.

Their children, who were already being raised as Scientologists, decided to stay with Cruise instead of Kidman. But apparently there’s no ill will on either side, and Kidman’s relationship with her kids over the years has been very private.

When Kidman does talk about her kids, she says she respects their choices. “They are able to make their own decisions,” Kidman said. “They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, its my job to love them.”
