Is It Any Good
This game-based learning app is a fun way for kids to practice essential math skills, but they may get distracted with the battles, pets, spells, and upgrade suggestions. One of the highlights of Prodigy: Kids Math Game is the adaptive platform that gives kids a personalized learning experience. Each question has some hints for how to solve the problem, which some kids may find useful, but others will find inadequate. The game is therefore best suited for practice rather than instruction, as there is also limited feedback for incorrect answers. Parents will enjoy tracking usage and progress with the user-friendly dashboard. Premium memberships offer parents even more precise tools, such as choosing the type of math questions their kids get and the ability to set Focus mode, which limits kids to a play world that has fewer battles and more frequent math questions.
Why This Is Terrible
This game is fun and all, math, battles, adventures, other stuff, but I have two problems. First I got my member box and it got me the stuff and somehow I could get it again. I thought I didnt get the stuff and I can only get the stuff once. I clicked it again and it did the same thing. So I clicked it a total of four times and I realized I got the exact same things four times. I was kind of happy until my four tvs gave the game a glitch. I couldnt put the tvs where I want them to be. I put them somewhere, and then after I go out of my house, once I get back in, the tvs are now random places. So I want to get rid of the three copies of everything I got and only have one thing of each thing in the member box. The second problem is that when me and my friends go in the same world, and the same place, we dont see each other. We dont see ANYBODY in the game. We wanted to battle each other but since we cant meet, we cant battle. I thought there would be a reason to play individually maybe summertime stuff, I dunno, but I dont see anything. All I see are new things and I think what does this have to do with seeing friends and other people? I think that is stupid. Why cant we see anyone in the game? Why is the new stuff individual? Is it not supposed to be individual? Is it just a bug? Are we offline? How are we not able to see friends and people? Whats the reason? I hope we get to see other people in the game!
How Prodigy Education Started
When we created our first product Prodigy Math Game as engineering students at the University of Waterloo, our goal was to make learning math as engaging as playing a video game. That was a very personal motivation, born of our own frustrations in learning math as kids .
Ultimately, we wanted to create something that would help every student in the world love learning, and that remains Prodigys mission today.
This sentiment was very much at the heart of our initial design. At that point, our math game looked VERY raw , but the basic game mechanism was there. Following an 18-month testing period, where we spent countless hours in classrooms listening to what teachers and students wanted from an educational game, we were ready to officially launch Prodigy Math Game.

Prodigy Math Game in 2021
The schools that first adopted us were predominantly those that didnt have the resources to access other online math products to supplement classroom learning. They quickly gravitated to Prodigy and we think this was for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, wed built an incredible product based on direct feedback from educators and students. This user-obsessed approach is still one of Prodigys cultural values today.
Today Prodigy Math Game has 150 million registered users in more than 150 countries. One million teachers use Prodigy Math Game in the United States alone!

No Complaints Its Just
Hi! I have no complaints about the game, its just that on EVERYTHING I click it says buy the membership, I thought about it. And a person I knew let me buy it. Im not sure if its my computer? Or the game the my computer went off the game went away my computer went SHHHH like the glitch noise, my family thought it was broken but I tried shutting it down and it worked again! Also can you try to not put monsters EVERYWHERE? And please put more outfits in the outfit and hat shop please! And try not to give us REALLY hard questions its confusing some times … Prodigy is VERY great Im just confused of why its 9+ its a math game. And PLEASE let us type our own stuff because sometimes I need help with something and it wont let us say How did you get that? So let us chat our own words please. Also, I would recommend putting more membership boxes in locations! Also I have another suggestion! I recommend you put more fireflies in Floras Forest. Overall Prodigy is a very wonderful game. Also, I have much more to tell. First, what is true use of gold if we buy everything in the outfit shop? I almost have everything in there and Im not sure what to buy now? Also, try to make new outfits on the Lava island. Last suggestion! Please fix the hats its a little annoying and weird when the girls hair is inside the hat and not showing. AND PLEASE MAKE THE EPICS AVAILABLE! I WILL BE SOOO MAD IF YOU DONT! Thank you, please read this.

What Parents Need To Know
Parents need to know that Prodigy: Kids Math Game is a fantasy-based web and app game that covers skills learned in grades one through eight. Kids answer math questions to earn spells, which they use to battle monsters as they move through different worlds on the way to Wizard Academy. Parents can set up a free account for access to a dashboard. Use the dashboard to customize skills covered in the game, create assignments, and view a child’s activity, progress, and standards coverage. There’s an option for kids to play online with friends, but the chat option uses preselected phrases only. The app is free, but two different levels of paid subscriptions each offer more parent tools and gaming features, such as focus mode or mini-game power-ups and access to special characters called Mythical Epics. Leveling up is also easier as a paid user — and kids are reminded of this often as they play — so it’s likely that kids will ask for access to those features. At the time of this review, the app crashed several times mid-gameplay. Read the developer’s privacy policy for details on how your information is collected, used, and shared and any choices you may have in the matter, and note that privacy policies and terms of service frequently change.

Conversion To A True Isp
In 1994, Prodigy became the first of the early-generation dialup services to offer full access to the World Wide Web and to offer Web page hosting to its members. Since Prodigy was not a true Internet service provider, programs that needed an Internet connection, such as Internet Explorer and Quake multiplayer, could not be used with the service. Prodigy developed its own web browser, but it compared poorly to other mainstream browsers in features.
In 1995/1996 Prodigy hired Ed Bennett and Will Lansing. In 1995 through 1996 Prodigy unveiled several Internet-related products. It debuted its own real-time chat area within the service similar to AOL’s. Access to USENETnewsgroups was made available to Prodigy members via the Prodigy interface software. Also, Prodigy’s first web presence, called Astranet, was released shortly thereafter. Astranet was to be a web-based news and information service and supported in part by advertising, though the site was considered experimental and never fully worked out its offering or business model. Another innovation was Skimmera market trial ISP service which became the base for the Prodigy Internet.
