Edit…just tried this in an AKO test and it won’t let you upload that file type. That is what we have done in other tests that aren’t AKO though.

Sam Test Id In Performance Matters

Since a test number is assigned to assessments created in Performance Matters, what is the major purpose of the SAM Test ID number? At one time this number was utilized by teachers when pulling in tests for their SLO’s but I am not certain that is the case anymore.

Can someone give me a definitive answer that distinguishes the SAM test ID from the Assessment number and explain why the SAM number is important?

The Sam_id is the database id for an assessment while the assessment_id is the user interface id of the assessment. The Sam_id in the database is used for storing instead of the assessment_id.

Good afternoon !

I couldn’t find many resources on the SAM ID but what I did find was somewhat conflicting. One article referenced replacing the “legacy” SAM Test ID with another ID for Scan View which may not be relevant. This article

The second article found Here has a comment at the bottom that references how to find a test with the “SAM id”.

It seems that the SAM Test Id is a legacy Test ID that may or may not still be useful to you and your situation. For instance, if someone has a SAM Test Id then you may still be able to use it to find a test.

I could be wrong but that’s just my assumption. Someone with more experience with the platform may be able to correct me and I’ll edit this reply.

Scanned Blank Answer Sheet Isn’t Showing In Scanview

We are using PerformanceMatters to administer end of quarter assessments schoolwide. For one class, we printed blank answer sheets, bubbled in student codes, then had students fill in their answers on the bubble sheets. We scanned the completed answer sheets yesterday and today, but the sheets are not showing in ScanView. The student scores for the assessment are not showing in Student Details. Our preslugged answer sheets show in ScanView with no issues.

I regret your inconvenience about using ScanView. I looked into the matter further and got assured by our

support that it is not a systematic issue and can happen for some reasons such as using file formats instead of .

ScanView supports as the primary file format thus I would recommend using as the file extension for the bubble sheets.

Non Access To Assessments In Performance Matters I Have Authored

Has anyone had an issue with accessing an assessment they authored?

I have tests that I have authored, went in to edit items, then got a blank screen when attempting to access them. I not only authored the tests but also created each item in the tests. What is happening? Our LAC has entered tickets for these. It is quite frustrating, especially since these are time sensitive, as I need access to them in order to open them for teachers to access their students.

Our support engineers took a closer look at the assessments and have shared a workaround via the case. You should now have access to the assessments in Performance Matters.

Thank you. If the workaround is to Duplicate the test, that has worked for me. However, we are still finding the answer key does not update any edits or corrections made in the items. This includes using the pencil icon directly from the test and/or editing by utilizing the big search entering the item number and editing from there.
