Mia Farrow Once Hinted That Her Ex

Who Is Ronans Father?

GettyFrank Sinatra and actress Mia Farrow cutting their wedding cake at Las Vegas.

Before she became involved with Allen, Mia Farrow was married to Frank Sinatra for two years, from 1966 to 1968. But the exes remained close until the singers death in 1998.

So close, in fact, that Farrow later told Vanity Fair that they never really split up.

When asked if Sinatra could be Ronans biological father instead of her then-partner, Woody Allen, Farrow replied, possibly.

In 2013, Ronan added fuel to the fire with a cheeky tweet referencing his mothers shocking admission.

Listen, were all *possibly* Frank Sinatras son, he tweeted, according to The Wrap.

More recently, Ronan seemed annoyed by the speculation. In 2019, when he was promoting his book Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and A Conspiracy to Protect Predators, he appeared on Bill Mahers HBO talk show, Real Time With Bill Maher.

Now, what do you think your father would think about what youre doing now if he were alive? Maher asked Ronan, per Deadline.

Ronan caught Mahers trick and noted that every time he is on his talk show, the host asks him about the possibility that Sintra is his father.

You do own a mirror, dont you? Maher added.

Ronan dodged the topic and told Maher to ask my mom about Sinatra.

While Ronan does share Sintaras blazing blue yes, the late singers daughter Tina Sinatra revealed her father had a vasectomy and could not have fathered Ronan, according to The Daily Mail.

Who Is His Father

Ronan is the son of actress Mia Farrow and director Woody Allen. He became estranged from his father after Allen married Farrow’s adoptive daughter Soon-Yi Previn.

“He’s my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression,” Ronan once said of his father’s marriage to Soon-Yi.

“I cannot see him,” he told the New York Post. “I cannot have a relationship with my father and be morally consistent.”

In a 2013 interview with Vanity Fair, Mia Farrow alluded that Ronan could “possibly” be the biological child of singer Frank Sinatra, with whom she was married from 1966 to 1968.

When the story broke, Ronan tweeted in response: “Listen, we’re all *possibly* Frank Sinatra’s son.”

Celebs Who Can’t Stand Ronan Farrow

Ronan Farrow was born into fame. Both of his parents, Mia Farrow and Woody Allen, were household names by the time he entered the picture and he’s been immersed in celebrity ever since. But fame isn’t always glamorous and Ronan has made a career of exposing the grim underbelly of Hollywood something that’s won him a Pulitzer Prize and much acclaim in the process.

This need to help others get their voices heard has always been a part of Ronan’s personality. Long before he was championing the #MeToo movement or toppling Harvey Weinstein‘s empire, he was working with the United Nations and UNICEF. He then turned his sights to diplomacy as a State Department special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan before finally landing on investigative journalism. But while his work for The New Yorker has earned him plenty of praise, it’s also resulted in numerous enemies. Here are all of the celebs who simply can’t stand Ronan Farrow.

Is Ronan Farrow Married

The journalist is engaged to podcast host and Crooked Media cofounder Jon Lovett, whom he met in 2011. Ronan asked the former presidential speechwriter to marry him in 2019 while he was working on his book Catch and Kill by popping the question on the page of a draft Lovett was reading over for him. Marriage? Farrow wrote. On the moon or even here on Earth? According to Farrow, Lovett read the draft said, Sure.’

Farrow has praised the 38-year-old Lovett for his unflinching support amidst the reporting that led to Catch and Kill. While appearing on one of Lovetts podcasts in 2019, Farrow said, If I hadnt had him and the brave sources who were taking such huge risks in my ear saying, Hey, this matters, this matters, we matter things mightve been very different, and those stories might not have broken.

Tony Oppedisano’s Book ‘sinatra And Me: In The Wee Small Hours’ Was Released On Tuesday

The late singers pal wrote a memoir titled “Sinatra and Me: In the Wee Small Hours,” which was released on Tuesday.

In an excerpt obtained by People magazine, Oppedisano addressed Sinatras friendship with Mia Farrow after their ended in 1968. He acknowledged the ongoing rumor that Sinatra could have been Ronan’s father.

That theory made headlines in 2013 when Farrow was asked by Vanity Fair if Sinatra could have been her sons father. Her response was “possibly.”

But Oppedisano isnt buying it.

Tony Oppedisano doesnt believe Frank Sinatra was the biological father of Ronan Farrow.

“Theres been a lot of gossip about Frank possibly being Ronans biological father,” he wrote, as quoted by People. “Rumors I believe Im in a position to tamp down.”

He alleged that Sinatras health issues would have made it nearly impossible. He pointed out that in late 1986, Sinatra had emergency diverticulitis, which caused him “to wear a colostomy bag until he fully recovered.”

Ronan was born on December 19, 1987.

“There are only two ways Frank could have fathered Ronan, both absurd,” he wrote. “Either Mia made a secret trip to shack up with Frank in his California home with Barbara present, or Frank, wearing his always romantic colostomy bag, made a quick trip to Connecticut between his Atlantic City performances.”

“If Ronan had been Franks son, Frank would have acknowledged him,” Oppedisano added.

The Media Is Turning Against Ronan Farrow

Ronan Farrow has alienated siblings, celebrities, and investigation targets, but perhaps most surprisingly, fellow journalists turned on him, too. In May 2020, New York Times reporter Ben Smith penned a scathing review dubbed “Is Ronan Farrow Too Good to Be True?” Calling into question everything from Farrow’s sources to his fact-checking, Smith alleged that “a close examination reveals the weaknesses in what may be called an era of resistance journalism.”

Writing of Farrow’s “Missing Files Motivated the Leak of Michael Cohen’s Financial Records,” Smith claims “prosecutors and court documents” later invalidated much of the reporting. As for his #MeToo work and Catch and Kill book, Smith says that Farrow is so concerned about delivering “narratives that are irresistibly cinematic” that “he does not always follow the typical journalistic imperatives of corroboration and rigorous disclosure, or he suggests conspiracies that are tantalizing but he cannot prove.”

Even Ken Auletta, The New Yorker writer who helped Farrow get his Weinstein piece published, was forced to admit, “Are all the Ts crossed and the Is dotted? No.” As for Smith, he echoed Matt Lauer, in part, characterizing Farrow’s work as “resistance journalism” that services “the tides of social media and produce damaging reporting about public figures most disliked by the loudest voices,” rather than adhering to “the old rules of fairness and open-mindedness.”

The Expulsion of the Fellows, 1687

The fellows elected instead one of their own, . James eventually offered a compromise candidate in the form of the moderate , but he too was rejected by the fellows as they considered the role filled.

Parker was admitted by force and the fellows and demies who had defied the king were expelled, replaced by the king’s choice of Catholics or moderate Anglicans. Parker died in 1688 and was replaced by , a Catholic under whose tenure the Chapel converted to Catholicism.

The expulsion of the fellows marked a turning point in the university’s relationship with the Crown: Brockliss writes, “the royalist and Anglican University established at the Restoration had had to make a choice and it had chosen Anglicanism.” James’ interference with the college fed resentment in Anglicans who used it as evidence that his rule was autocratic. On 25 October 1688, shortly before the and overthrow of James II by , James’ appointments were reversed and Hough and the expelled fellows were restored to the college. This event is marked every year at a special banquet, the Restoration Dinner, for Magdalen fellows, demies, and academic clerks.

Film Activism And Preservation

In 1987, Allen joined Ginger Rogers, Sydney Pollack, and Milo Forman at a Senate Judiciary committee hearing in Washington, D.C., where they each gave testimony against Ted Turner‘s and other companies’ colorizing films without the artists’ consent. Only one senator, Patrick Leahy, was present for the testimony. Allen testified:

If directors had their way, we would not let our films be tampered with in any waybroken up for commercial or shortened or colorized. But we’ve fought the other things without much success, and now colorizationbecause it’s so horrible and preposterous and more acutely noticeable by audiencesis the straw that broke the camel’s back…The presumption that colorizers are doing him a favor and bettering his movie is a transparent attempt to justify the mutilation of art for a few extra dollars.

Allen also spoke about his decisions to make films in black and white, such as Manhattan, Stardust Memories, Broadway Danny Rose, and Zelig. Film director John Huston appeared in a pre-taped video, and Rogers read a statement by Jimmy Stewart criticizing the colorization of his film It’s a Wonderful Life.

Matt Lauer Says Ronan Farrow Lacks Common Sense

While the main focus of 2019’s Catch and Kill is Harvey Weinstein, Ronan Farrow also addresses Matt Lauer’s fall from grace. The Today anchor was fired from NBC in 2017 after being accused of “inappropriate sexual behavior” by fellow employee Brooke Nevils. While she originally remained anonymous, she went on the record in Catch and Kill in what Variety dubbed an “explosive” interview.

Lauer remained quiet until May 2020 when he denounced Farrow’s reporting in an Mediaite op-ed, admitting to a “consensual, yet inappropriate relationship with a fellow employee,” but writing that he was “falsely accused of rape” by Nevils and that Farrow didn’t bother to fact-check her account. “At no time did Brooke Nevils ever use the words ‘assault’ or ‘rape’ … while filing her complaint with NBC,” Lauer alleged. He went on to list how he felt “Ronan betrayed the truth,” claiming that he “failed to confirm” claims, “used misleading language to manipulate readers,” failed to present certain evidence, and twisted narratives to “suit his activist goals.” Lauer concluded by accusing Farrow of ” common sense and true fact checking in favor of salacious, and deeply flawed, material.”

Farrow replied on Twitter, writing, “All I’ll say on this is that Matt Lauer is just wrong.” Both the journalist and his publishing house backed the reporting in the book, with the latter stating , ” impeccable attention to detail and nuance make us proud to be his publisher.
